Gary was the leader and founder of Spandau
Ballet. With his friend, who was to become his manager, Steve Dagger, he formed
the band from other guys in his high school. Gary was the song writer in
Spandau. Apart from the song "Motivator" which appeared on their
final album "Heart Like A Sky", all the songs Spandau ever recorded
and released were written by Gary. In the mid 90s Gary wrote and recorded the
stunning solo album
"Little Bruises". A very personal album based around the traumas in his personal life at the time. Songs from that album are as much loved by fans as those he wrote for Spandau Ballet. Today he is also an accomplished actor of stage and screen having made a number of quality films and appeared in the West End hit play "Art". His latest movie "Dog Eat Dog" is now available to rent on video. Gary is also producing an album for a new band called "Red Lemon" who are Louis Walsh's latest protégées
Gary starred in The Krays with Martin and went on to make other movies such as The Bodyguard. He has a son Finley from his marriage to actress Sadie Frost. Their marriage broke down in the early 1990’s. Gary recorded an Album called Little Bruises. He has since starred in the stage plat ART and there is a rumour he may be about to join the cast of Eastenders.
