Lynn's Spandau Ballet Zone

In the early 1980's a new era of music began in Britain. It was called New Romantic. One of the main bands and one of the best bands of this era in music was Spandau Ballet. They began a fine career with songs like 'To Cut A Long Story Short' then went on to have many hit singles.

The band split in 1990 and Gary and Martin Kemp went on to build up an acting career. Tony and John are currently touring Europe and sometimes Steve joins them.

The bands split was turbulent and there are still bad feelings between Gary and the others as the recent court case proved. For those who are just discovering Spandau for the first time will realise that they were unique.

For those who experienced Spandau Mania they can look back with fond memories of great songs and brilliant gigs. As one of the fortunate people who experienced Spandau Mania I would like to say that I am so glad that Spandau Ballet existed and feel so sorry that the 5 members could no longer be friends
